Captain Jeff has been a fisherman and a boater since childhood as he fished all around the Tampa Bay area with his father and grandfather. He owned his first boat at the age of 14 and has had numerous boats throughout his life. He now fishes on his 27’ World Cat.

But Captain Jeff really honed his fishing skills when he became a part-time commercial fisherman and lobster diver while living in the Florida Keys for 10 years.

Here is his amazing fishing resume from his time in Marathon Key.

• On his best day sailfishing; he along with his brother and friends, landed 12 sails in one day
• On his best day dolphin fishing; he brought in over 400 dolphin (Mahi Mahi) in one day with one bull dolphin weighing in at 42 lbs.
• On his best day snapper fishing; he brought in over 400 yellowtail & mangrove snappers
• His personal best Kingfish was 57 lbs. and measured 5’ long to the fork, 
• On his best day cobia fishing; he caught 7 cobia in one day
• On his best day of lobstering; he and his good friend captured 217 lobsters in one day with a net and tickle stick. 

Captain Jeff has also caught a 350 lbs. Blue Marlin, numerous wahoo, numerous red groupers, black groupers, gag groupers, as well as mutton snappers, American Red Snappers, and other species of snappers; along with African Pompano, Greater Amber Jack, blackfin tuna, snook, trout, redfish, black drum, and more!
